I create rooms in Classic, and I often finish them in Studio, but the problem is, some of the features, including basic things like opacity, don't have any effect, they don't work, they don't change anything. As for opacity, I can change it in Classic and then re-import the project into Studio.
Shine works at random. Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't, no matter what. The same with emission, even though that works more consistently than shine.
And what's the point of transparency priority if it has absolutely no effect? Some ground shadows that use composite blending persistently go underneath some other textures with composite blending enabled, and there's no way to change their priority, even though everything works fine in Classic, just as I designed it to be.
If I find such issues in a few features in Studio, I can't even imagine how many possible other bugs there are, I don't use many other features.

@Xinous, unfortunately, 'Alpha Test' has been the only solution to guarantee transparency sorting is correct. I will continue to push for a solution for blended transparency.

@Drosselmeyer, in fact, even with the "Transparency To Depth Buffer" option, the error persists. Is there any data planned to resolve this? It seems that the creators of IMVU Studio can only resort to "Alpha Testing" in these cases.

@Xinous, Yeah, this is exactly where the sort/draw order of a "blended" transparent material will fail depending on which direction you view the object. Because both legs of the pants share the same front and back material, there is no way to guarantee the correct draw order. You can try turning on 'Transparency To Depth Buffer' which will force the material to write to the z-buffer. The only other option is to use 'Alpha Test'.

Taking advantage of this topic, I'd like to share my question or report regarding a supposed bug that only occurs on IMVU Studio/IMVU Next platforms, not on IMVU Classic.
1) I use Composite blend (IMVU Studio) or Use blend (IMVU Classic) to adjust the opacity of a garment;
2) I move the viewing angle to one side to better see how it looks;
3) Only on IMVU Next/IMVU Studio, at a certain angle, it seems that one part of the mesh overlaps the other, creating something completely different from what appears on IMVU Classic, which doesn't have any of these "errors";
Note: This is not a layer priority issue, as it persists even after changing it to any number.
4) Enabling the Double-sided option corrects these transparency "errors" from some angles, but it continues from others.
5) The photos show i. an image showing the transparency "error," ii. iii. an image showing the Double-sided option enabled at the same angle, iii. an image showing the outfit in IMVU Classic, as desired for IMVU Studio.
HI ChicByTrinity, Thanks for bringing these issues up. First, I am very sorry you are having such trouble. I would like to understand what is going on here, perhaps starting with the issue of opacity maps not working in Studio. Can you provide a few things? Your source file (3ds Max or Blender), the FBX (or Cal3d files) you export, and the textures you use. I can set up a Google drive for you to drop them into. Please email me at studio@imvu.com and we can get this going. I would love to get to the bottom of these issues.
