Our latest Quarterly Creator Report shows that, collectively, your sales and earnings have dipped. Based on what we have all seen on the news and from other gaming and social media companies, some people are cautious about discretionary spending because of record inflation and general economic concerns while others are stepping away from their computers to experience real life for the first time in 2 years.
We realize this is a tough situation for everyone. We’re addressing the challenge by promoting offers that encourage users to spend on the IMVU catalog. We are also providing opportunities for Creators to promote their shops. More details can be found here.
We are in a good position to weather this trend and are confident the situation will normalize over time for both IMVU and the Creator Community.
CREATORS EARNING MONEY - Q2, 2022
In Q2 2022 (April through June), Creator payments dipped 10% from the previous quarter.
Here are comparisons between Q2 payments this year vs. previous years:
23% lower than Q2 2021
1% lower than Q2 2020
33% higher than Q2 2019
CREATOR PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP & ENGAGEMENT - Q2, 2022
New Creators joining the program dipped 17% from the previous quarter which aligns with overall trends.
New Creator membership, however, is only 1% lower than the same quarter last year.
Compared to last quarter, 8% fewer Creators are making products and 10% fewer products being created.

Helpful improvements and fixes in IMVU Studio ver. 1.8.3
This release includes improvements we think you'll enjoy:
1. The improved user experience when no project thumbnails are available
2. Updated Looks to show Outfit name
3. Added camera controls to the shortcut list
If you have already installed IMVU Studio, it will automatically update when you next sign in. Or you could see an "update" button in the upper right corner of the screen.

Though I understand the reason behind IMVU's marketing, I really feel like ad creation using more dynamic avatars will increase the number of new users and new creators. Ads especially on Tiktok always seem to use the most basic, run of the mill avatars that showcase 0% of the creativity that happens on a daily basis. I personally would not be interested in joining the platform if I saw an ad and wasn't already here. Ads are such a great tool and honestly such a missed opportunity when it comes to this platform.
