Hello, my precious inhabitants of IMVU! My name is Tanya, and I create under the name Rehoboth on IMVU :).
I started using IMVU since 2012 as a social outlet. It all started with derivatives of meshes from other popular creators, but then I gained many 3D design skills and began to turn into reality all the landscapes and pictures that had been drawn in my imagination for many years.
For me, meshing, designing or just texturing is like breathing, every product is my child and a breath of fresh air.
I did not know English at all, but the desire and goals that I set for myself motivated me for constant development. I am very grateful to the educational center for authors, which from year to year helped me to improve my knowledge.
So my advice, for you – never give up! Even if in doubt, try!
Dear fellow, I`m telling you it as a person who in childhood was subjected to a lot of criticism from loved ones. For many years I was afraid to pick up even a pencil, I was afraid to even try to edit a picture in Photoshop. But the amount of educational information from IMVU was so rich, that I just started to go with this flow, and just started learning. A few years later I came to my mother and showed her one of my islands. She immediately asked – “what`s wrong with this moon? After all, the moon should be of a different color, size and not transparent, and why is it so shiny”. And I answered her – “Mom, I just wanted to share with you my joy, because this island was bought by more than 8,000 people.” She looked at me and cried, and I hugged her and cried too.
My advice to creators:
1. Always be yourself! Move forward, maybe today it seems to you that your inner world is not perfect, but tomorrow you will see that there are many people who love your “not perfect world” ☺
2. Give yourself a clear definition of what exactly you want to create, do not take on several directions at the same time.
3. Using the example of rooms and furniture, explore the styles that you like the most, such as Bauhaus, Baroque, Boho, Gothic, etc.
4. Follow the trends of the chosen style, you can be inspired by sources such as Pinterest
