We have recently removed the option to filter color textures and combine textures from inherited textures in the latest Studio update. This change addresses a loophole that allowed derivers to misuse the texture feature to steal other Creators’ texture maps. As a result, texture editing is now restricted to the owner of the texture only.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to protect the creativity and hard work of all our Creators.

Hey All, These are all great points and it has started discussion of how we can allow the creator to choose when to allow the textures that are included with the product to be accessible to the creator deriving. Thanks for all of the feedback!

Yeah I agree that there should be some option to switch it on/off.

hello,
if I understand the security side towards the creators because we need to be protected, I think we should have the option with an allow do not allow button, I have had a lot of my textures stolen but none through my derivables on the studio, because absolutely all textures stolen are always on all my non-derivables, so they have been finding another way to obtain the textures for years and this well before this option,
I don't think that this encourages the theft nor that this tool is the cause,
for my derivables this tool it helped me to be seen sold by a wider public so that the person decides to change color easily rather than having to create several colors myself for the same product so that it pleases everyone, and I really liked using this tool as much as seeing the creations of others which derived and changed the color,
so it would be great if there was an option, cause this tool do not break the derivation chain.
the creator still gets his sales percentage cause we derive from his parent ID
Thanks ♥

I think it's better now but the new creators can't use the color option so it's hard for the biginer to create when I started I didn't know enyting for crate I study everything by my self but it was helpful to have the color options. I think change the color it is not meant stole the texture it to alow the new creators to learn more how to create I create for almost one year and I have 3600 products in my shop maybe 1000 of my products is only change the color so the first creator take all my sales profit

And to add to that, I also think there should be an option to download the texture maps in high quality.

I think there should be an option to allow derivers to use the texture maps. As a creator I’d love to see more people derive from me. Even if the product looks the same, or the deriver changes the color of the map, this means my product is being shared to a wider audience.
From my understanding, now it makes it harder for people to copy and spread the products because they have to come up with their own texture maps.
I think there should be an option for the creator to leave the maps public or hidden.
