I've managed to attach a particle system to Material 11 and allow the worldly particles create a trail of lovely sparkles and magical fairy glitter dust following the animations' "swinging" :D
I love it! but when the furniture is in idle mode, the particles are still active, and I would like for it to not be like that. Any way to adjust this?
The furniture animation only activates when the avatar is in the pose node, I'd like the particles to follow this activation thing.

Yes you can!
Set the particle system to be 'Initially Enabled'
In the action ensemble particle system parameters for the seat action, set the 'Emission' to 'Off Forever'

omg, wait lol How do we do the opposite? Where the particles are activated all the time but will stop when we jump into the seat node?

For Studio created particle systems, they stop running when you leave the seat.

Wouldn't you also need something to turn the particle effects back off when you leave the seat?

Hi @DiamondBones, You need to add the particle system to the seat action ensemble so that when the avatar sits on that seat it triggers. From your screenshot it looks like that should be 'stance.Cross04-seat04'

@Drosselmeyer I dunno how to select it from it's list. The Action list doesn't match the Particle Node list, and when I hit play, it doesn't run the animation for me so I don't know which one to select

@DiamondBones, Yes! This is very possible. You need to do three things:
Add your particle system(s) to the action ensemble that plays on the furniture seat node.
In the Action Ensemble set the Emission to 'On Forever'.
In the particle system(s) under Emission switch Initially Enabled 'Off'
