There might be other ways now, but that's basically how I do for classic client.

@MightySe7en @4u So I gotta use a 3rd party program that's not imvu to mesh default standing poses on the floor where I want them... save it... export it into a different file that imvu can digest... hop back to imvu to derive the dance I want, and bring bring in my standing node mesh I made earlier, then for each pose, I switch it to the one the creator of the dance labelled, and imvu's program will understand to replace all my standing poses to this derives dancing actions?

I have no idea how its done in Studio
But in Classic client if you derive from 37538145, go to the actions tab for the pose name (stance.MyPose01) and note that down.
Make a mesh with standing poses where you want to dances to go, save and export.
Then open the .XSF you just made in a text editor and replace .Standing with .MyPose01 and save.
Go back to the dance your derving from, click on the config tab and add the new .XSF you just edited and saved.
Hit apply and you have multiple versions of the dance on every standing spot location you made.

Hi Dia!
I believe after deriving, they renamed the animation to "stance.Gaf210spotJ", and imported a furniture product with seat nodes named "seat01.Gaf210spotJ" so that when players click on a seat, it will trigger that animation.
