I have noticed that there are "female top" products that are not having their thumbnail generated properly.

Studio generates the avatar too smal leaving half the thumbnail completely empty, even though the mesh itself is a top and is assigned as a top and my latest top was generated with a much clearer thumbnail.

Below you can see two comparative products, both are tops... both use the same mesh ID 2. It doesn't make sense that one has a better thumbnail than the other.

In reference to...

"stray bit of mesh or vertex that is hovering off the right"

I don't know if this is the case with this mesh or not but....

In the past when the mannequin icons first came out, it was an idea for some meshers to add a tiny invisible triangle off to one side or the other to force the Mannequin "Auto_Icon_Camera" take the photo from that side. Since we can pick from different photos now, this practice is obsolete.

I wonder if the new Auto_Icon_Camera can some how filter out the superfluous mesh, hmm..

Oh. This is so weird. I had a look at Varsity Jacket and I have no idea why the thumbnail is offset. My first thought was that there is a stray bit of mesh or vertex that is hovering off the right shoulder or arm, but I cannot see anything. The only thing I notice when looking at the mesh is there appears to be a duplicate of the body/skin mesh 'Object_1' and 'Object_2'. Not sure why this would affect the thumbnail.

I had a look but if there is one, then I am not seeing it. The mesh itself isnt mine, but what you said makes sense. Thank you!

I took a quick look and I'm suspecting there might be a stray piece of geometry bound to the Spine02 bone that's floating out away from the avatar. If that's the case, the camera will try to keep that stray piece in view. Could you look at your source and see if that's the case?

IMVU Staff can probably shed light on this. I would provide the PIDs of the two items that were derived from so they can reproduce the issue and give a good answer :)

I have noted they interject here as they have allocated time from their daily toils.

Sorry you have this issue. I hope help arrives soon :)

@LestatDeLioncourt Yes, both are derived from baby T yellow by IMVU official, both use the same mesh ID.

I am just curious... What is the Base Parent product for derivation on both of these. Must be something different... :/ Strange, huh?
