I just updated an old furniture item, looks great in Studio, and placed in IMVU Desktop... looks like this... WTF???? I even reopened it in Studio, still looks great.
Oh!! Yeah. That feature is an Alpha Tester only feature. Alpha Test features are only for Alpha Testers to check out and play around with. They will likely not be supported on all platforms until official release.

It was the Artificial Rim setting. Once I turned that off, it worked fine.

I just published it, loaded it up in Studio, re-saved everything, it all looked fine..... and in Desktop it's a purple checkerboard! Nothing changed.

I don't know why, but it might be because the product is unpublished? For me it looks fine when I edit it in Client and Studio and like you picture ^^ in Web and Desktop. I will write up a ticket.
