In the studio, it shows female, looks fantastic on my versions of the products, but once submitted defaults to male. In the past, I had not had an issue before the drop-down gender option was made, typing in either 80 or 191 swapped 99% of the items I needed without a problem.
Now, using the drop-down menu to 'female' nets me a female item during deriving, but come to find out the product is still registered, as male. This is very frustrating.
Trying "custom" and hand typing in '80' defaults back to the female drop-down menu option.
Also in testing this out on 'unisex items' (items that are 80,191 made) all the items default to female and will not be male, Like ever. If made with the studio.
If I take this item into classic mode and make a version that is female, it will be female, but then I cannot edit it in the studio app to apply the glow and shine textures I am well known for.
So my question is this...
Why was this done? Why are we being forced to shell out even MORE of our money to create items (one for each gender) despite having clear unisex items in the catalog that SHOULD be able to be either or with zero issues?

(sorry it clipped my post)
And why will the studio show an opposite gendered item in the app during creation, when it will not change when submitted?
In my personal opinion, this is a lowball move and needs to be changed in the studio app, that either an item cannot be changed to a different gender if it doesn't actually change once submitted it is not allowed so the gender changing options are removed in the app, OR we are allowed to change the gender on items without being locked into the default gender of the parent. This becomes EXTREMELY frustrating with Unisex items which should have zero issues being either or.
I feel tricked and bamboozled and am seriously contemplating stopping being a creator because of this bait and switch bs. Because it makes my job a million times harder, trying to find the right items to derive from. And will overall affect the quality of my products in the long run and the listings in my catalog.
