I don't like how I see this pop up only when I'm ready to hit submit. I'd like for it to be active while I'm typing the product name please.

@Drosselmeyer That would be dope ^_^
WOW I just tried it in classic and it sort of stops me right there, but then when I submit it, it's different, like that's when it see's there are too many characters due to the emojis, so it just cuts off the extra instead of giving me a block msg. I wasn't really able to do this at all before on classic, as it would always just tell me I can't use emojis at all. I thought y'all were gonna stop updating classic?

@LestatDeLioncourt ahh that makes sense. Thanks!
It's tough to not write the same characters in the beginning of our product names because it helps with organising our inventories in the client. I think that might end though, since the new platform arranges all the items in order of purchase or something like that, I forget.

Correction:
" If your "Bench" has non-standard characters (are at the beginning of the title) it will cause your product to be shown further down in the pages of the search."
This is true if someone else's is named simple text "Bench" or "Bench of Wood", etc.
Hope this info helps :)

@DiamondBones Thanks for bringing this up! I have written up an improvement. It turns out it is a little more complicated than one might think. Not only are we checking the number of characters, but also there is a "bad words" filter that happens on the server (hence why it "could" fail on submission) and emojis are actually more than a single character and the number of characters they occupy varies depending on the emoji. So, long story short, there are a few factors that go into product name validation and with some work it looks like we might be able to "pre-validate" this field like we do "Your Profit" and "Classic Shop Image" which are required for submission.

Using non-standard characters will confuse the search engine also causing your product to be shown more toward the end of the search. This is when people are searching for things like "bench", "seat", "chair" etc... If your "Bench" has non-standard characters it will be further in the pages of the search. Otherwise, it looks great if they ever find your product.

When I use To try to look for a unique letter to search for products or brand my products with an off character letter I used to get this a lot. Until I learned to just use normal characters, numbers, and punctuation. And there is a 25 character cap on names.
