For the first one, I am trying to override the default skin. In classic client I can do this so the skin on a heel or something else showing skin on the shoe would match stockings, fishnets, anything covering the legs. It'd look a bit silly to have stockings on your legs but not your feet. For this particular situation, I'm trying to to derive from my own mesh, https://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=57146143. When I open it in classic, I can see 3 material tabs. 01, 02, and 07. 07 is what I use to override the default skin, and I cannot do that using studio... the option just isn't there.
For the second one, I'm basically trying to... chop a mesh up. I can remove meshes and make them layerable in client so something that overrides using default feet can be removed. I can then use opacity maps to only show the parts of the mesh I want to be shown. https://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=52787425 when I derive from this on classic, I can make it so I can use any other shoe mesh still and only keep the straps on the legs of this product. I can't figure out how to do that in studio.
Lastly, xrf linking. Some materials are linked and change all at the same time in classic when you upload the texture for it, on studio you have to change each one individually... and for meshes that have like a ton of material slots that gets really annoying and time consuming.
