imageIMG_6726The clothing on IMVU MOBILE & even IMVU STUDIO shows the clothing shine/glare which is how it’s suppose to look. But on PC it looks the total opposite, no shine/glare. I’ve tried contacting support, but they don’t know what issue is. They put it through peer review, and the changes still didn’t occur. Please help?

Badcharm explained it well, but it's more complicated than most realize.

Microsoft will eventually phase out 32 bit and 64 bit coding and encryption in lieu of more secure operating system code. This means in fact that Classic Desktop (and all older PC apps) will in fact be phased out at some point in the distant future.

Also with the millions of lines of code in classic desktop, it is impossible to integrate all the coding languages that allows mobile app to be a mobile app, and IMVU to run in a modern day browser without any app at all.

All total, there is 30+ Github languages, some coding language deved by IMVU developers that all have to be taught how to talk nice with each other to make IMVU the pretty mobile app we know it to be today with all the shine, glow and stuff.

Unfortunately, this means that the IMVU+ items are dull, non glowing, and don't shine in Classic desktop app. It is the down side of creating at this time and nothing we can do, as creators to mitigate this on our end.

I hope this adds more clarity to the issue you found.

the only features that will be rendered on PC Classic are texture, opacity and texture animation! Everything else created in Studio such as Normal, Shininess, Emissions, Iridescence, Fresnel and Convex Reflections, Shading and Rims along with Particle Systems - are NOT rendered on classic and will ONLY be visible on Mobile/Beta/Next.
