Maybe focus a little more on issues, and a little less on playing with colors. (Daily spin: blue for GA, red for AP, credits for less active, VCOIN for more active accounts). Nice twist, but was someone waiting for it? wink wink

Well, we'll never know how things are connected. Suddenly Studio started up while I was texting my real life sister in WhatsApp. I had no need for it at that moment.

@LestatDeLioncourt​ Clone myself? Others try to clone me. Isn't one JanXuan enough pain in the below part for IMJVU staff? No worries, my beautiful IMVU wife for over nine year won't allow me to quit, and as I promised her that she will have me another eighty years when we married, I'll be around for a while. I stopped getting older at 20, and I don't want to lose her.

Hey @JanXuan​  I too wish all my suggestions, input, bugs reported, etc. (over the years) were all fixed instantaneously. LoL :P

I too get "frustrated" at times. Then I look back and see the input I did give way back when was modified, added or fixed :) *That*

I see your input; @JanXuan​ , when you take your time to give it. Most of the time these are very good suggestions. Many times needed. I am thankful to you that you took the time to express these. Once in a great while, I see something I don't agree with but not very often :)

When I get "frustrated" I usually take a break and regain my "composure". I care enough about IMVU, my friends here, and my friends I don't know yet. This is why I stay and come back to help. I too donate time and see when things look like I am talking to a brick wall. I have been there.

I would rather staff ignore me and use the time they would to respond to fix or add something instead of answering me. I know the "stress pit" of customer engineering. It is a tough nut to crack so I give the leniency that most likely someone on IMVU heard me and will make a record of it. I see that "old brick wall" softening more and more...

IDK what I am saying but... I feel for you. We need your input. You have good suggestions and report solid bugs, etc. Hang in there and try to "Clone" yourself a few times... LOL

@JanXuan​, Things do happen slowly here at IMVU, but we do listen and take all feedback to heart and use it in our planning. We have been a bit sidetracked since before I started at IMVU, but I can say we are now focusing on the things that matter to our creators. You feedback is truly appreciated.

It is actually somehow funny that @Drosselmeyer​ writes "This is exactly the kind of thing we are wanting to address in Studio and the Next apps. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks."

I have been telling, asking and commenting all these things for many years, long before Creator Connection and before covid, in forum posts (Bugs and Issues reporting, Suggestions and feedback), to Customer Service, and in comments in IMVU Surveys. And all those years nothing was done with it.

@Drosselmeyer​ Another thing that I had forgotten. Colors!

Please change the color scheme for Next and desktop. Light grey text on white, or white text on yellow, are often hard to read. Certainly when the sun is bright and shining in my window, even with the blinds closed.

Also, please allow dark mode for pages, and make the loading pages darker. It hurts my eyes looking into white pages every time when peer review loads the 3D scene, and when I click a tab to a different page. I close my eyes with every review because of the blinding light. I use dark mode in all my apps. Only IMVU does not allow it. It is a torture.

I agree with @JanXuan about pretty much everything here. I work, decorate and dress up in the Classic client, never the Studio/Desktop/Next. I use the Studio/Desktop only when I want to create (or show off) those effects like shine and glowing lights. Importing/managing files (XSF, XMF, textures) is also much easier and straightforward in the Classic create mode vs. very confusing and cumbersome in the Studio. It's not always possible to just import FBX and be done with it. More often than not, we need to make changes, fixes, improvements by fixing individual parts (files).

Let me not forget one thing in Studio/Desktop client: Decorating.

No way that I will go decorate rooms in in the Desktop That is a no go for me.

That system drives me crazy. Why not the simple way as in the classic client?

Believe me, when IMVU abandons the Classic client, I will be gone, and I know that many of my (creator) friends will leave too.

I felt from the start of Next that this was the worse move that IMVU could make. Sorry about that

Another thing. The inventory. It has been asked in other threads before. Display the images as they were made by the creator. The white (avatar) images hardly show the product. I'm not sure if that is caused by Studio, or by devs who do not understand how their image will show in the shop and inventory. Maybe this is a point of interest in the education center.

On the whole Desktop/Next/Studio project I would recommend to see where actions can be simplified. Many actions require unnecessary clicks. MCG action and sking should be instantly available with one click in shop, peer review and create mode.

Another sugguestion: Peer review.

You need 4 clicks to activate the MCG pose. In stead of listing it in triggers, make a seperate MCG button. It happens a lot that I get the "This product has already passed" message and can not complete the review because it instantly shows a new item. This is another annoyance. Remove the "This product has already passed" thing. It is unfair for people who do peer review, specially when the delay in their review is caused by the long way to the MCG pose.

Maybe also a MCG skin button could be added to override the cheat MCG's. It will increase the number of correct votes.

Why don't Next/Desktop display the room images which are set by the room owners, in stead of the default room shell image which hardly displays the room but rather the part where people are loading when they enter? All rooms from the same room shell have the same image. Please use the room image that was made by the room owners.

Re the Next app: I heard that a few times in the chat. Did I miss something? I only know Next in the web pages, not as a separate app. I thought that Next was a web version of Desktop client, of maybe better, Desktop a client version of the Next web page.

@Drosselmeyer​ First, the total overview in Classic is easier, Studio can be pretty confusing. Also the preview/save process is slow in Studio. The opacity change and default settings sometimes cause problems in Studio, and the resetting of visible to hidden after an edit. These are things which one can see but don't expect to happen. Overall the slow loading of the preview is irritating. About the shininess and other new options I can't tell. I have not tried them yet as I did not feel any use for it.

Thank you, but I don't think that will be easy to find the right one the way they are displayed, and having some 800 rooms that won't always be easy to find the right one. The room depends of the product that I want to create. But thanks for explaining, I remember another user had the same problem.

@JanXuan​ Actually you can add rooms and even set which you would like to be your default room. Go to the Inventory panel, select Filters, select Rooms, then click on the '+' in the thumbnail image of the room you would like to use. You can set the default room by clicking on the '***' menu of the room you would like to use and select Make Global Default.

@Drosselmeyer​ Thank you, I tried it out and it worked. However when I don't need shininess or any other new features I prefer to stick yo the classic create mode, since I can not add a room in Studio. to take picts for my product page, Things go much easier in Classic. It saves a lot of time.

@JanXuan​, Once you import a skeleton, you need to assign it in the skeleton component inspector panel. Skeleton's do not get automatically assigned when you import them this way.

@JanXuan​, Are you seeing the issue with any XSF that your try and import through the 'Import Asset' tool from the toolbar?
