I created some little rooms, about the size of a typical avatar mobile display (accessory) cube. Nothing went wrong. I have one that uses a different texture for each side, as usual. I've created another that uses 1 texture folded over 5 sides. I didn't have any problem in classic, ipad, or android phone apps with using the rooms, nor viewing them in inventory (I don't have Desktop installed). However, in Next Web - I didn't have trouble with the six-textured mesh, but I did with the single-texture that is folded over 5 sides. In this situation, when I check out the room in my inventory or the shop, my head disappears. One time, and I can't repeat this, I'm not sure HOW it happened, I ended up "wearing" the room. So that even in classic, I was wearing this room as if it was a mobile display cube, but it identified as a head, not an accessory. I learned that in the classic dress-up tab.

I can't seem to find anything unusual in Studio. However, because I only wanted to use one material, I derived from @Drosselmeyer item https://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=56263778.

When I pull this item up in Next Web, https://www.imvu.com/next/shop/product-56263778/, it does not give an error. It also doesn't even show my avi.

When I pulled up a derivation from this room by a different creator, it gave the error at 40% loading but did not replace my head with the room. The next time I tried the rooms (after a page refresh), they didn't give an error at all. https://www.imvu.com/next/shop/product-57258901/.

Here is one of my rooms that has the issue - https://www.imvu.com/next/shop/product-63601301/. Or you can go straight to the derivable at https://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=63595300. I imported the .fbx directly into Studio and didn't use classic create at any time in the derivation process.

I'm convinced that the reason that I am having the issue is because I'm only using one material. I only have one material asset (xrf). But in the material inspector page, in the asset drop down box, the same xrf is listed twice, as if it is expecting a minimum of two materials.

Note, I'm using Windows 11. I am able to repeat the room identifying as a head error in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Since it is only an error in Web Next, Please fix this rendering error and allow rooms with only one material slot to view correctly.

Many thanks!

The head problem changed a slight bit for the fbx reimport, @LestatDeLioncourt  and @Drosselmeyer , and that was that there was a one second delay and then the head disappeared. My personal sleuthing is that it seems the damage was done on the initial import, because at that time there were two xrf slots created with the same name: picture [0] as seen in the drop down menu in the screen cap of studio in my first post. When I imported a new fbx over this, it used one of those slots as it had the same name. And then created another listing for the 2nd material I imported with the fbx. But in the drop down xrf choice option, the two picture [0] were still there and they both pointed to the same thing, and it didn't seem to matter which one I chose. Of course I don't have a clue if this is actually causing the problem. I'm just in mental debug mode lol. Come to find out, I was also having the same problem in the classic shop. I always test the products on my ipad imvu app, my android phone and my classic client windows desktop. I almost always look at the ipad shop. But shockingly I have not been in the habit of checking out the classic shop and only sometimes look at next web. Fortunately this time I caught it looking at the next web and VIP chat could change the sales into fraudulent ones and remove them from the catalogs of the buyer/recipients, even though they wouldn't refund my money etc. But that's ok, when I redevved them all, sales have rather taken off. Some of the buyers that I gifted the new version to have in turn cleaned out my catty. So I was rather the winner on this one. Because sales have taken off on with the new versions, it unfortunately proves that most of my sales are from a computer, using the various imvu platforms there, as it was not an issue in the ipad shop. I didn't test desktop next because I don't have it installed. And I wonder if the problem affects macs the same way.

I may test dev from the empty room again (when I have time) starting with a two material fbx import. because it would be super nice to not have all to carry all that riff raff from the base rooms into my derivations. I don't think I'll have a problem if I import an fbx with a minimum of two materials but I'm not convinced? But my question is how are the first two xrf slots being generated and is this an issue in Studio or also Classic Create? I don't have trouble in actual use of the products in any location - it's in the viewing of it in the web next inventory/stop and the classic shop. So it might not be an issue in the creator apps but rather in the rendering in the above-mentioned areas. Deriving from an existing room, two materials/xrfs exist already. They don't seem to go away either, which is part of the riff raff from the base derive. I haven't figured out a way to clean up the xrf listing - so if one exists, please help me know. Sorry for writing so much. This problem isn't mine to solve, I'm just quite curious about it.

I imported a new fbx with two materials into a product derived from @Drosselmeyer 's empty room. Unfortunately it didn't fix the head problem. I'm going to wait a bit and see if a little bit of time makes a difference - give the system a chance to refresh.

Thanks @LestatDeLioncourt! Unfortunately I already have purchases on them, so I will simply hide them. I might see if I can simply redo them in their own pid - the staff can unlock the original derivable. Because I know that if I add a 2nd material slot, there won't be a problem. And I can simply add a full black mask so that it doesn't show. Perhaps if @Drosselmeyer simply readded two material slots it would fix the problem, but then it would defeat the purpose of having an empty room derivable.

Hey, @Lexique You can ask Staff to remove those in your catalog. They will probably issue a refund. All we can do is encourage @Drosselmeyer to hide or fix that one... LOL

yikes. ok that's all I need to know. Thanks for your response, @LestatDeLioncourt . I'm going to hide these products and rerun them with two materials. Based on what you wrote, Likely this problem is going to be waaaaaay down the list of fixes.

I reported the same issue with IMVU Staff Generated "Empty Room" in 2015. See PID 11106349 (hidden) it has the exact same issues. They reverted it back to the PID=512 as no one could fix the issue. I think someone recreated the Room-Head issue of 2015 :/
