I'm working on creating my very first IMVU room with Blender and I'm having an issue with my spot light when exporting the room out from Blender into IMVU Studio.
See the attached pictures. The lighting looks good in Blender, but once it is imported into IMVU it becomes pixelated on some surfaces. See how the shadows on the floor are fine but the shadow from the avatar is pixelated. Not sure what I am doing wrong. The light is nested under "node.Room" and is named "Spot01", and is of type spot. I can provide further info as needed.
Much thanks!

Hi @Zob, Yes, you are correct. One of the techniques I have seen used is baking the lighting into the textures. The other very effective method is to modify the vertex colors of the scene meshes. Both Blender, 3ds Max, and Maya all have vertex paint tools.

@Drosselmeyer I see, gotcha! Do you know how most other developers achieving lighting in their rooms? From what I've seen, I imagine with ambient lighting and baking the lighting into the textures?

@TauntaunTonic It is named only as "Spot01". Should parameters in the name be included? If so, would it be in the same formatting you provided? (Ex. Spot01:type=spot:radius=40)

@Zob Could you share the full name of the spotlight? Is it only named "Spot01" or is it a longer name with parameters, like: "Spot01:type=spot:radius=40"

Hey @Zob, Congrats, you found the shadow spotlight feature! Unfortunately, it is not quite ready for prime time as you can see by the pixelation. This is why we do not yet officially support shadows. They still need some improvement.
