PromoCredits earned by your productsales from your catalog are converted automatically into "DevTokens" or developer tokens. These are automatically used when you create products to offset the derivation cost (during submissions).
Now, PromoCredits you earn from other sources are not allowed to offset the derivation cost. However, you may use earned PromoCredits (not from sales) to purchase things for yourself!
I used my earned PromoCredits to improve my inventory. I needed many things to help sell my products. Product photos, displays, product rooms, etc. can be enhanced to help sell your products. In a roundabout way, the earned PromoCredits can help your marketing abilities. Buy things you need. Buy different avatars or put-together outfits, display rooms, etc.
