I've been on IMVU since 2007 and recently had my FIRST product mis-rate. I got a temporary ban for it. I submitted a AP product to the GA catalog. It was not a UFI product.
Apparently, according to what CS told me in a help ticket, they are no longer giving warnings. Be aware that if you have a product mis-rate, even if it's your FIRST one; Boom! IMVU will ban your account. No warning, no nothing, just ban.

@Mimesis Forgive me if it seemed i was giving you a lecture the reason i put out the full knowledge, the reason i do this is because it gives others who may not know a insight to what might happen. Also if you rea i did put up how flawed the whole system is this wasn't a put down on your knowledge i apologise if it came over that way. The whole system is flawed and the developers get the brunt of it. Cs have very limited knowledge on the products you are lucky if you get one who has worked for imvu for years and understands the tos.

@shopdaisylogo I don't need a lecture about my responsibilites as a creator. I'm perfectly well aware. You're completely missing the point of my post. I had ONE misrate (rightly so) and got a temporary ban for it, instead of just a rerate. My post was to warn others that this could happen to them, too, because IMVU can do whatever they want. My second point was that the flagging and help ticket system don't work. There are a ton of products that have the exact same textures that I got a temporary ban for that have yet to be rerated, despite months of flagging and help tickets.

Mimesis when developing of a derivable check it out if it is ga many set items as derivable but don't have a clue even what the coverage should be, pushing into the texture to see if any red shows or doing the mcg pose. Developers have a responsibility for everything that is created it doesnt matter if someone has done it before, you have to make sure yours is ok. On saying that i believe if peer wasn't so flawed you wouldnt be messaging this now. Whats the point in peer review if main parent item was passed as ga in the first place. This i feel is imvu responsibility its clear peer fails to provide safety on both sides.

The parent product that I derived from was rerated to AP (I wish they had just given me a rerate, instead of a temporary ban on my account). However, there are a ton of derives from the same product that have the exact same textures that I got a temporary ban for, after months of flagging. Flagging misrated products doesn't work. Filing help tickets doesn't work. Totally not fair.

@Mimesis your catalog looks clean to me (it always has)... If I see a person has a MGC slip, here or maybe an AP word there, I message them and just give them a "Head-Up". Seems like I remember IMVU doing that same thing, some years ago. Why they would do this on the first offense baffles me...

Crud, I guess it is time we *all* go back and "quadruple" check our catalog for any tiny infraction.

Thanks for warning us.. we can have this on account, but never can feel ourselves safe. Yes, to derive items is a sport risk

I was given a temporary ban and given my account back "as a one time courtesy." It's the principle of the matter. The whole point of me posting about this was to warn creators that this could happen to them, too. No warnings, no nothing, even if it's your first offense ever.

Well, hopefully, this is not 100% of the time the case. I rescently submitted a product though studio as GA that wasn't perfectly covered and it failled Peer Review. Such things do happen easily when you derivate from a product that has already passed PR wrongly and you load an outfit that doesn't let you see the MCG limites. Hopefully, I've been able to modify the opacity to cover the body properly and resubmit.
What ever happens, the CS will be helpfull to fix such issues. IMVU has to deal with a huge number of cases of abuse of their site and app, so errors ro happen obviously. Hopefully you can always contest a ban. Be sincere and if you committed an error be humble and ask for a second judgement. Hope that helps.

Yes, I'm absolutely shocked, and don't know what to say.. keep going fighting through help tickets, and I hope the ban will be only "temporary" *crossing fingers*

Yes, I read IMVU's message correctly. I was going back and forth with them because I just couldn't believe it. Technically, IMVU CAN disable your account for any reason, according to their TOS, even if it's a first offense. There was no other reason to ban my account. I also had enough credits in my account to pay for anyone who purchased the product that didn't have AP. I have had no other offenses OF ANY KIND since I joined IMVU in 2007. If all this scares you; it should. I'm as shocked as you are.

It's weird.. did you read carefully Imvu's message? I had recenty a GA product re-rated as AP, and the only punishment (logical) I had, is to reimburse credits to GA users that bought the item. Maybe you have not suffice credits to reimburse customers, and you got banned? (no idea how it works). Anyway, read carefully Imvu's message, maybe there are another reason..Â
