At this current moment in time, I have suffered a 100% data loss on my previous SSD as it was "scrambled" from a power surge and have lost all logos, texture files, 3D Model files, and various other scripts and IMVU content. I am working my hardest to find someone who can attempt to revive the drive and pull data off of it. However, no program I try and not even Windows will recognize that the drive is plugged in... Does anyone have any tips they can share with me on this issue?

@Lushen  This is so sad and probably one of Creator's worst nightmares. I backup my stuff i monthly to an onsite file server. I also Clone my SSD to another about twice a year. I do these things to help ward off these Fears.

I do know there are services out there to handle these situations. I also know the service provided is very expensive. You can check with well known service companies such as Ontrack and Easeus... plus many more. Google "Hard Disk Data Recovery".

Please understand, the more people mess with a "sick" hard drive the less the chance of recovery. It is best to leave it to experts.

If your computer BIOS will not recognize the Drive, STOP and leave it to experts. If your computer can find the drive in the BIOS, you may be able to use a Boot DVD or a Boot Flash Drive to recover data with appropriate software. If Windows doesn't see the drive the BIOS probably won't either. Google BIOS Setup for your Computer, Brand, Model, etc.

Hard disk recovery (SSD or not) is expensive. Depending on how much data is to be recovered and the size of the hard disk. Most SSD Drives are programmed so when they do fail, they fail in a way that does not erase data across the whole drive. The SSD drive may not be recognized by the Bios of a computer but can still be accessed with proper equipment. The average expense in drive recovery is $500 and up. Most times it is in the thousands of dollars to recover a complete hard disk's data.

I would also contact the manufacturer of the SSD Drive and ask about data recovery. They are the ones who would be best equipped to recover as they are most familiar with their own disk layouts, etc. Most times they will tell you they are not responsible for loosing the content of a disk to be repaired but, just understand, the drive may not be recoverable.

All is not lost! Remember we can open products one by one and copy out the assets. IMVU still gives us this option with the new IMVU Studio.

I am so sorry you have this issue and I wish you the best of luck getting it fixed..

I hope something helps...

PS> You have be scared in talking about all of this... I am going offline for a bit to backup my system now.
