I was attempting to turn a dress into a sleeve accessory, using the tutorial posted here. I think I've done all the steps correctly, but I keep ending up with a missing leg. This isn't the first time it's happened, either. Is this a feature of the mesh to prevent this sort of thing? Or am I doing something wrong?

Hi @ch0ux I would guess your accessory is mesh number 6. Mesh 6 is the leg. Accessories should have a number above 10. there is a Body Part ID or Channels Guide in this post Here: https://help.imvu.com/s/question/0D51L00004vZaQhSAK/ Simply adjust the mesh number to one that "fits" a proper category and you should be good to go.
