I have been getting very frustrated that some people derive from my stuff, change nothing and make it look like it is their mesh, to begin with when they only made an Icon and I spend a week building a mesh. Not even my textures which have my watermark on them, mind you have been changed out. The way I am reading the Creator agreement is that when we set something to derivable that we grant them the right to derive of our product to make a NEW product not simply upload the existing with no changes. " When you mark a product as "derivable" in the catalog, you give permission to every other IMVU Creator to derive a new product from your product" <- as stated in the policy. ( yes I get they have the right to set theirs as derivable as well after that)

It would be nice if IMVU could clarify that part of the policy and make people understand what NEW product means. Not changing a thing and just set it as a Mesh ( like they made it themselves) is misleading to those people that shop in the catalog. The shop is cluttered up with items where the prices have been jacked up so a creator that is too lazy to make stuff gets paid off the backs of creators that spend hours and days building meshes.

Deriving without changing anything is allowed by IMVU. "New" just means a derived and submitted product. As a mesher I understand your frustration but there's nothing we can do about it.
