[Archived - Heauxtz] Can someone please help me learn how to add 3D icons to the nails I make. I've tried everything and it comes out flat or overly stretched.

Hi @LilaKim​ I looked at your icons and they are pretty good. I see you have a closeup shot of the nails, nicely framed, cropped, etc.

 

I would try to use a standard pose for the avatar. Some poses are for creators and in the catalog for hands or feet, etc. Also to standardize the icons, I would choose and standard (always use) background and get as close to the nails (part you want to display) as possible. Try to find a background that give the most "contrast" to the nails with best lighting as possible. Use this same background, angel, pose, etc. to give a standardized look to your fingernail icons :)

 

You may find more tutorials on making Icons at places like YouTube, Google Search, etc. Google "Making icons for IMVU" and see if anything is interesting to you.
