So this is my first time making a decent avatar and I was wondering if I would be able to have the eyes closed on the avatar?

It's not possible to add an idle (ie. playing all the time) facial animation to an avatar but you could add a triggered one. You'd need to make the animation using the head file in 3d software (such as 3DS Max or Blender).
