[Archived]Hi @AquaMoonStar​ In general if you are wanting to slow down a texture material animation and want it to look realistic, you will need more frames.

Many years ago, I took a close-up video of a candle flame in a dark room. I converted the video frames to a GIF file. This was easier for me to grab the individual frames I wanted for my candle flame. I ended up with a 512x256 file that contained 8 frames wide with 4 rows (of 8) going from left to right. It is interesting to define the 64x64 frames contained in my final file. I ended up defining a wonderfully natural candle flame.

Look closely at a project of mine that gives more information on a 128x128px frame and 16 frames total. The concept similar to yours and you may follow the tutorial there for practice.
