[Archived - FlexFactor] Is there any way to remove the whiteish tinge to transparant areas on a mesh after uploading a shine or emission map that does not shine or reflect in those areas?

[Archived]the pictures provided show a mesh that has a front side, and a back side. i am currently testing this with the BACK side of the tanktop, so you will see the whiteish tinge on the back in the pics, and then how it should look without any shine. Picture titled "WITHOUT SHINE" is how i want that area to look.
however the parts of the mesh that the opacity map hides, display a whiteish tinge which i can only assume to be noise or some other thing. if u upload an emission map and keep emission off it does the same thing.
im new to this so if its something simple that i dont know, please forgive me. or if this has been answered before then i dont know how to word it or search for it, please redirect me.

[Archived]@FlexFactor Sorry I'm late! Great job though!
If you prefer the composite blending for smoothness, especially with other projects that require to keep the gradient effect from opacity maps, I think the Advanced Feature would help too.Click the 3 horz dots to open this Advanced tab,
Select Prevent Reflection,
And if you want as an extra perk, can set the priority #number you want this to dominate/submit to when other blended layers/products overlap it. It's difficult with other products because we can't know what number they set theirs to without opening it or them actually putting that info somewhere publicly, since we're not opening their product.

[Archived]yes, the opacity map provided is the exact same as the shine map in the pics, and all my maps are the same size. the last pic is a copy of the opacity/shine that i used which shows top of the texture as black which should show zero shine or anything.
thank you for the alpha blending suggestion though, i was using composite blending to smooth out the border of the mesh but when i switched back to alpha blending the issue went away! learned something new today.
issue is resolved, ty

[Archived]I *think* I understand what you are doing, @FlexFactor . Try making the Shine, The Opacity and the Material Maps the same Pixel Size, to start. If you are using the Alpha Blending, set it above the default of .5 (Classic compatibility)
The take your Opacity Map and use the same image "shape" for the Shine. The areas to shine would be some shade of Gray (middle to lighter gray) and the area not to shine would be solid black.
Hey? Plop the Opacity Map in for the Shine as a quick, easy test.

[Archived]i should specify that the opacity map and the reflection map are the same, so it does NOT reflect on those areas as per the maps either.
