"So I think that it is also the shadows in I mean the lighting in IMVU that is causing those shadows to happen like that because I checked all of my UV maps and everything is facing the right way so I'm sorry I don't really know how to fix it other than adding a selfie luminous to it"
so the mesher feels the pieces are on the right way. Any help?

Hey @DiamondBones, Happy New Year! Yeah, I don't believe it is related vertex painting. It has something to do with how they constructed the meshes. If you have any way to get a copy of the source 3d file they built this in I could have a look.

Hey @Drosselmeyer Happy holidays! I asked them and they said they didn't. I don't know what that means as I thought it wasn't possible to upload meshes without textures, so I'm assuming this is over my head of experience.

Hey @DiamondBones, So this was a bit of an investigation... The short answer is the product you derived from, 65621080, is very poorly made. The technical issue I discovered is that the vertex normals of the meshes are inverted (which is causing the lighting to look reversed) even though the vertex order for the faces is correct (which is why the meshes don't look inside out). The meshes are in a weird state. Not knowing how the meshes were created it cannot determine what the creator did to make this happen. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this. Note, it is broken in Classic Client as well.
As a side note about this product, while investigating I notice that the polycount for the meshes in this product as VERY high and also the textures are HUGE for for the size of the product. For example the texture for the Santa's nose is 512x512. Ack! This has a huge impact on performance when the product is worn.

@DiamondBones , It looks like it is the lighting on the Santa and chimney only that appears opposite from the rest of the hat? Am I correct? Do you have a PID?
