In Blender I have flipped the normals on an outer layer of my meshed rings. The goal is to create a "shell" or "black outline" for the rings in IMVU. However, once imported into IMVU Studio, it seems to be ignoring this and the mesh is not flipped anymore. I don't have "double-sided" turned on. How do I get IMVU Studio to keep the normals flipped?

There's a global for wireframe overlay too. That's caught me out a few times!

You'll need to use Material based Backface Culling (https://www.katsbits.com/codex/backface-culling/) rather than the 'global' @Drosselmeyer highlights as that only works for Solid mode. Jump on Discord and I'll send an example file (see profile for link).
In Blender using 'colour' based materials
In Studio auto assembled using generated colour images

I see. I'm not sure why mine isn't working as expected. I'll tinker with it and see if I can figure it out.

Wow, thanks for the "backface culling", that will save me so much time in the future. I don't have any opacity maps on the mesh, just a flat black texture.

@FlareHero, Yes, this should absolutely work. I like to use 'backface culling' in the view port just to make sure. Do you have any opacity maps on those objects materials?
