here i am again. I created a body mesh (torso) in blender, without realizing I accidentally moved the vertices for the waist part connecting to the legs. I realigned them all by snapping them together, I weight painted everything back to normal, but the torso just won't ''connect'' with the bottom half anymore. There are gaps (on imvu only) even though theyre technically at the same axis', and I can't join them as one because I'm only making a shirt.

Hi @LordDread, Are you still needing a solution for this issue or is it resolved?

yeah unfortunately nothing seems to be working. thank you so much though, ive learned a lot. I made the item a custom for myself only and created a pose to work with the body mesh while also wearing something to hide the gap ;) so it wasnt all a waste of time!!

Hi. That happened to me before a few times, there are 2 things that i think it might help.
Select the skeleton, go to Pose Mode and select all the bones pressing "A". Then, also in the viewport go to menu Pose> Clear transform> All. That will show you the body in the position that imvu skeleton is. Now you can relocate the torso over the waist vertices and snap them to their pair
Another thing is, In Weight Paint mode make sure that neither of hips, pelvis, or bottom bones influence the waist part of the mesh. Since you are only exporting the torso, non of those bones below the "Spine 1" should be influencing the edges of that area. (also can be checked after option 1). You can do that by Removing the selected vertices from the Vertex Groups in the "Object Data Propeties" panel (see the attached image).
I hope that helps.
