Has there been any update on NEXT supporting 6 bones?
Really desperate to see that implemented!
Think I first asked almost a year ago now - it was confirmed but IMVU were waiting on an Apple update..?
Any news?
Thank you

Excited that a fix for this is near completion! Commenting so that I can get an update when this is live. Thanks studio team!

@Nums and @Unequal, Building your assets with 6 bones per vertex is the right approach. If you are noticing any anomalies with 6 they should be resolved as soon as the fix is live.

I unfortunately used 6 on my own body mesh since the first announcement so I didn't have to go back. Means it's all been looking a little funky on NEXT ever since haha...

Personally I've just been continuing using 6 where I NEED to. The headache of going back and updating all the meshes isn't worth it. Can't wait for the items to look perfect in studio though!

Hi @Unequal To make a long story long, we had been specifically waiting for all the browsers to adopt Open GL ES3 (an update to the advanced features of Open GL, which our rendering engine is based upon). That has now been adopted, so we're in the process of integrating it into our engine. Once that work is done, we can start supporting 6 bones. I can't give an estimate to exactly when we'll be finished, but we are in the home stretch.
