Hello, I've got this mesh I was working on, and I've been trying to get the legs straight in the uv map for the bodysuit, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Is there a good way to get workable uv maps for bodysuits?

@BrainTwinge you won't get that to unwrap the way you want by default because Blender is trying to unwrap the mesh such that UVs don't collapse in tightly packed areas (between the legs, under arms typically).
What you could do with that is put a UV seam right doe the middle so each half has a better chance of being unwrapped properly then connect them back together once done. Have a watch of this from about the 22:00 minute mark https://youtu.be/XVO2lKEZHbI?t=1320
