[Archived]I received a message from someone claiming to be a staff member of IMVU. They said my information did not go through and was brought up as a fraudulent charge Because of this, they said my account was in the process of being deactivated because of that. I used my own card to pay for the AP and age verification. Is this real? Do staff members message me like a normal person?

We have a secure support portal for communicating sensitive information. It's clear that someone was trying to impersonate our staff for fraudulent purposes. Additionally, all staff members will have a staff badge associated with their account. Stay vigilant and protect yourself from scammers.
