Hello I'm curious about this!

If I derive from another creator and I'm not aware that the item they have in their shop is a stolen mesh, will I get in trouble for it?
asking because I derived off an asteri head of another creators and then I'm learning that there is so many different derives of this head available from other creators as well.
I can't get in trouble if the person I derived from has stolen this mesh can I?
I don't know if they are the original owner or not with there being so many asteri heads out.
will I face any consequences as someone who just derived to use the mesh?

If you unknowingly derive from a stolen mesh, you might have a DMCA takedown filed against you by the original creator and the product removed from the catalogue. But don't worry, it takes a lot of DMCAs to actually get into trouble.

Hello, as a creator be aware to read their shop products description. Sometimes it said use this texture only but do not mesh to change it / sign protected” or it said protected. It means you can do anything you want . Have to carefully to read their description.
