Threat of violence

If anyone on the IMVU platform threatens you or harasses you in any way, and especially if they continue to do it:

• If done in a chat room, make sure you flag and report their conversation in the chat in the room.
• If done in an IMVU message, make sure you flag and report their message(s) they sent to you.
• If done as a comment on a Feed-post, make sure you flag and report their comment.
• Block their account immediately.
• Let your friends know what happened to you.  If any of them were a witness to the threats or harassment, they can decide to block that person as well.
• Public Rooms owned by you or your friends:  Anyone on a room owners block-list is unable to come into those rooms.
• Seek becoming a Moderator for Rooms you don't own that you hang out in:  both Owners and Moderators can boot people out of rooms.

Why would anyone feel the need to ask if sending such a message was normal behavior ?

If you really need to ask if sending such a message is normal behavior then I suggest looking up the meaning of the word: normal.
