Title: Outgrowing the Drama: Protecting Your Energy and Peace of Mind
To the community,
I wanted to share a few thoughts as I make the decision to step away and delete my account.
Over time, I’ve observed how easy it is for toxic behaviors—like privacy invasions, manipulative stages, fake dynamics, and predatory boundary-crossing—to thrive in virtual spaces. It can drain your time, mental clarity, and emotional energy before you even realize it.
For a long time, it’s easy to get caught up in it all, but eventually, the illusion broke for me. I saw the platform for what it really was, and I realized none of it was worth my real-world peace. True growth happens when you move past the noise and realize you’ve simply outgrown environments that no longer serve you, respect your boundaries, or add genuine value to your life.
If you ever feel drained, invaded, or manipulated here, remember that you don't have to stay and tolerate it. Your real life, energy, and mental well-being are far more valuable than any virtual setup. Learn the signs of manipulation, protect your privacy, and don't be afraid to step away when the illusion fades and a space stops being healthy.
Wishing the best to those who are here for positive, genuine connections. Protect your energy and take care of yourselves!

You are absolutely correct, Keki.
Sadly, while we realize this, the younger generation here does not. These kids are constantly complaining of being harassed, attacked and violated daily. They have no idea what to do about it except to tell an adult. IMVU Customer Support is useless for this kind of thing.
In truth, this site should never have been opened up to anyone under the age of 18. I've been here years. I've grown thick skin, but I've also learned to manage my space here. When you see the signs, you remove yourself from the surroundings. We, as individuals, are the only ones responsible for what we allow in our space.
Thank you for sharing and I'm sorry to see you go, but I totally understand. Best wishes.
