Unfair Booting by Moderator "E l e n e" – Need Help!

Hey everyone,

I’m really frustrated with how I’ve been treated by a moderator named "E l e n e" in a public hangout room. Every time I enter, she boots me instantly without any reason. I tried to ask her why, but she ignores my messages completely.

I’ve rejoined 4-5 times, and she keeps booting me. The last time, before kicking me out, she even typed in chat: "HotMess, get out"—as if the room belongs to her personally. She later sent a message saying, "Stop entering Hangout room," which clearly shows she’s targeting me on purpose.

What’s frustrating is that I’ve never had issues with any other moderator. I’m even friends with moderators like "Alora," and they know I don’t cause trouble. Yet "E l e n e" is the only one who does this to me repeatedly.

I have screen recordings of her booting me and a screenshot of her message, so I can prove this is happening. I feel like this is unfair abuse of power, and it’s ruining my experience.

Has anyone else faced something similar? What should I do to get this resolved? I’d appreciate any advice!

Unfortunately there is not much you can do other than try to contact the owner of the chat room to explain this issue. It might help if other folk who regularly use that chat room also contact the room owner and explain what is going on.

Unfortunately in these kind of cases there is little that IMVU staff can do. This is because these chat rooms are considered private property that the general public has access to. The owners of these chat rooms have been given autonomy to make their own rules. It's not against the IMVU user guidelines if a room moderator boots anyone regardless of reason.

You are probably going to have a difficult time seeking justice but it's not impossible. You will have to convince the chat room owner that this mod is not fair or impartial; especially toward you.

On a related side note:

Hopefully IMVU will someday give chat room owners the OPTION of using a AI room moderator that can be individually set to fit the particular chat room standards; like age range, KBs of outfits worn, national languages used or allowed, gender detection, inappropriate behavior detection.

Such an AI mod should have setting options like censorship, warnings, and booting.

I should be given the ability to whisper if it gives a warning to someone.

A room owner should also have the option to set such an AI mod to whisper a short greeting and explain the room rules the first time someone enters the room and welcome them back each visit afterwards. Since some rules might change and some folk forget then the whisper explaining the rules should come with a frequency setting.

The chat room owner would script several types of generic whispered responses that such an AI mod would use.

Such an AI mod would probably not be free and a chat room owner might need to purchase one for each chat room they wished to use it in.
