What's Going On With Music Store?

 The music store has been messed up or out of service for some time now. Just what is going on with it? I hope they are adding Tommy Richmans "Million Dollar Baby , and  Muni Longs "Made For Me" Those songs all over the net  at least  a year or better yet can't be found in music store. Lastly Don't show a song that is empty after you buy it. Vanessa Williams "Save The Best for Last" was empty and you don't refund credits just offer another record choice. I have clicked on few other songs that are empty as well. But I learned to pass them on my bad purchase.

wow, i just found out about all of this yesterday, so i decided to research and saw this post and comments. I have more than 1 account with tons of music over the years as well and I never put them all into mixes. it is not cool that we cant at least make mixes still with what we do own and have purchased or received as gifts. i remember when they had issues with music we bought as accessories and had to give so many back credits to make up for everything being reset to 20secs. now whats the plan? i could have used all those credits to just create more stuff lol. thanks for starting this post. a mass letter need to be sent to all who still play this platform.

@ASultryWoman I have had some of  my music cases opened now for almost 5 years and they have treid to close them every sinngle time numerous times...so many times now I have lost count.They end up just replying with different copy and pasted responses they have from their manual..they never actually respond with a real thought from their own heads ..Its all copy and paste nonsense.The "please be patient , we appreciate your understanding and patience with this matter" is just one of the many they use, thats one of their favorite ones to use actually.What that really means is "just keep waiting please...we arent really doing anything and we hope eventually you give up and will disappear or we hope you dont notice and we will close the case out and you will forget about it"... They have tried to be sneaky a bunch of times with my cases by closing them out and never  letting me know it was closed....I caught it because I am always checking my cases anyways  and the only way to open cases back up is you have to respond within a  certain amount of time or the case will close for good and they will be off the hook again.I never let them close my cases even though like I said..some of my cases are 5 years old now and still not fixed, like the issue of the music mixes muting in our rooms if you have been in a room for a certain period of time.Themix and the songs will show as playing but they will go mute and  silent.That has been going on for over 5 years now and has NEVER been fixed and to this day I still get the same reply you just got about being patient and they are working on it..Its a  lie...No competent computer technician takes over 5 years on a paid website that people pay for to fix something that isnt working correctly.It should take a few days at the  most.I could get a teen-age computer geek to fix something within a week so for them to keep accepting our money to give us a broken mess is a crime..Their engineers  are either so clueless and incompetent that they have no idea what they are doing or the issues are just being completely ignored.It has to be either one or the other..I ask them all the time which one is it that and they refuse to answer that question and they avoid it by saying they are a separate department than the music and have no answers about it..Yet like you said..they have no problem taking all of our money for this mess..Why dont we all make them wait and tell them to have patience and understanding with our payments and not pay them until its fixed? We can see if they would like that, "please have patience while we work on paying you, we appreciate your understanding in this matter"..They would NEVER allow that so why should we allow this???We are not getting what we paid for,this is theft of services and fraud..cut and dry....I have been paying my IMVU subscription for the past 5 years and yet they still have never fixed it.No other pay website does that to their customers.Like you said..Its time to refund all of us for all the money we have spent having a website that doesnt work properly and is not what we paid for...a class A action lawsuit is next....How much abuse is a customer base supposed to take? They are hoping we finally just give up and disappear, like most members have..Most have given up and quit the website by now, thats why the numbers of members on the site now at any given time are 2/3 lower than they used to be years ago...people have quit in droves...IMVU does not care about their own customers and just keep jerking us all around by stalling and having us wait and wait...You are going to keep getting those canned copy and pasted replies with no solution in sight..believe me ,I know..Its been going on for over 5 years now with my cases...

Well They tried to close out my ticket and I responded Please update the matter is not resolved. They responded please be patient. they are working on a solution. My feeling is this is a business and they need to be as fast and proficient at resolving issues as they are to collect our money each month. There is never any issues or delays with collecting the money from us. They have been without a music provider 2 months shy of a year. I think it's time to fix problem or start giving back all the money. I don't want to hear no corporate scripted jibber jabber answers about this.

dont let them just get away with this...I'm not..I have thousands of songs and over 600 total mixes stored and I paid money all these years for all of this..Even as we speak i still have songs sitting in my wishlist that friends have been buying for me and they bought them in the past few weeks, and these were bought after the store went down over a month ago.... I have never even been able to see those songs they sent to me yet let alone use any of them , yet IMVU is still taking the money from my friends that they all paid to send me that un- useable music...Thats some nerve on their part..They are still collecting money from all members that have gifted music to others that cant be used at all...Thats called THEFT and thats called FRAUD...right now there are alot of pissed off members on here and we arent even being told anything about any of this...A joint Class A Action lawsuit is right around the corner...You cant just steal money like this and not provide what people paid for and just use stall tactics to hope we all go away...I would respect IMVU more if they would actually tell the truth and be honest to their own paying customers..I have 11 years worth invested in all of this and dont deserve silence from them when I ask whats going on..which I have gotten the entire time...All we want is the truth for a change..Is that too much to ask for from us all???To get a straight answer from a company that we pay our money to ????

Complaints in house stay in house. Complaints on social media reaches many with a loss of revenue. Complaints in numbers  to the FTC(Federal Trade Commission) which regulates all online games gets results. Finally complaints to a law firm can start a class action which can result in a justifiable devastating loss. Both Big Fish and Facebook got taken to the mat for doing  things unfair to the consumer.

@ASultryWoman IMVU is  supposed to refund all of the songs you bought that do not work or cant be played...I have reported that so many times I lost count when I bought a song that ended up not working in my mixes and they give me a song token for a free song next time I purchase music..One time I had 4 songs all at once and none of them worked,,,they had to give me 4 free song tokens added to my music wish list that is good for all 4 free songs for next purchase...So make them give you those song tokens..you did not get what you paid for and they are supposed to give you free song tokens for each song that does not work..All of this doesnt even matter right now of course because they lost their contract with their music provider so that store may be gone for good for all we know now...They wont tell us anything either..This is why everyone is fed up and tired of being treated like idiots and being taken advantage of ...There are alot of pissed off members on this site right now readying for a lawsuit....

IMVU has lost their  Music Provider...

This is a report I found on the internet....

As of June 25, 2024, the IMVU Music Store's partner, VerveLife, is no longer active, meaning existing releases will be removed, and no new releases will go live. IMVU's music store partner, VerveLife, ceased operations on June 25, 2024.

  • Impact on Music Store: This means that no new music will be added to the IMVU Music Store, and existing music from VerveLife will be removed.
  • Future of Music in IMVU: It's unclear at this point whether IMVU plans to partner with a new music provider or if there will be any other changes to the music functionality in the platform.

This is devastating news and this was never told to any of us and we should have been informed since we are all paying members of this website..Why has this been hidden and kept in the dark from us?I have over 600 mixes and tons of songs and now after finding this and reading this I am panicking...I now have a feeling there is no more IMVU music store and that it will not be coming back...Can someone from IMVU let us know something about this because we have alot of money and time invested in our music from the store and did NOT and do NOT want it changed.We dont want any format changes either..I have now been hearing rumours lately that soon it will be only radios used in rooms or triggers to have music on IMVU and soon no more mixes or store...This would be unacceptable and cause most of us to leave the website for good..and what happens to all the money we spent on songs and mixes that we would lose that we have had for years??? Somebody needs to give us some answers and clear all of this up..and give us the truth about what is going on....

On top of all this complete music mess...I still have alot of songs listed in my music song wishlist which some of my friends have since gifted me songs from in the past couple of weeks..and they bought me these songs AFTER the store has been taken down and my friends PAID to gift me those songs..WHICH NOW I CANT EVEN USE BECAUSE I HAVE NO ACCESS TO MY MUSIC MIXES OR SONG LISTS...SO IMVU IS STILL TAKING MEMBERS MONEY THAT THEY SPEND TO PURCHASE SONGS FOR THEIR FRIENDS FROM THEIR FRIENDS WISH LISTS EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO BE USED BY THEIR FRIENDS BECAUSE WE CANT GET INTO OUR MUSIC MIXES OR SONG LISTS ANYMORE...TALK ABOUT GALL  AND  UTTER NERVE !!!!....THAT IS CALLED THEFT....

@Pamela Anderson: Thank you for the information. I had a feeling something was very wrong when all of sudden they announce radio streaming in rooms. It's my thought we can forget about the music store as something very similar happen sever years back  on other sites with a company name Radiology or something like that. They did not pay the license fees due to Sony and Sony sued them even though they were a sister company. This is extremely frustrating as I have mixes I wanted to swap and update. Plus the money pumped into this virtual hole in the wall is real money and it's my feeling they owe us something back. The site is broken that 2 factor code thing not working properly now the music store and all this flat 2D looking BS appearing in the store. I'm not buying that crap and not moving to the newer version of the game. Thank goodness for other sites that are maintaining the 3D look, movies, your own music and cyber is advanced LOL Oh and you don't lose your stuff. Top it off with some are free to get on and participate in everything. My last thing to get out here. To the Creators. Most of you do beautiful work and it shows time and thought went into a Item, but when a Item is copied must it be copied in the same body size plus leave the same flaw in a Item? FFS make it your own by fixing and changing something other then the color.

THE MUSIC SITUATION ON THIS WEBSITE HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR YEARS AND NEVER GETS FIXED..IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE AND THEY DO NOTHING ABOUT IT AT ALL.WE JUST GET COPY AND PASTED CANNED RESPONSES BACK FROM THEM WHEN WE REPORT IT TELLING US TO HAVE PATIENCE AND KEEP WAITING....THAT IS WHY EVERYONE IS LEAVING THIS WEBSITE FOR GOOD...CREATING TICKETS OR CONTACTING THEM ABOUT IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BECAUSE THEY WILL JUST SEND OUT THEIR USUAL ROBOTIC RESPONSE AND IGNORE IT UNTIL YOU GIVE UP AND GO AWAY...ITS NEVER GOING TO BE FIXED CORRECTLY...
