IMVU takes seriously the preservation of intellectual property rights and respects brand integrity- ours and those of others. IMVU requires and expects all IMVU users to comply with our Terms of Service and the Creator Agreement and Policy as shared in our Policy Hub. Any violation of these Policies (including violation of the intellectual property rights of others) carries with it serious repercussions within the IMVU environment, over and above any liability that may be pursued by the rights holders themselves.
IMVU has been notified by a representative of the famous high-fashion brand, Gucci, that they have identified certain unauthorized use of their intellectual property (such as, their brand name, logos, the mark "GUCCI", patterns, etc.). Usage of any of this intellectual property on the IMVU platforms, without Gucci's consent (commonly a license from Gucci) is a violation of our Policies.
IMVU does not tolerate this behavior. We’ve already removed hundreds of products and terminated numerous accounts for these violations in accordance with our Policies documented here. Additionally, it is IMVU's intention to cooperate with any legal processes that Gucci may initiate against users, individuals, or entities, accused of infringing on Gucci's proprietary rights.
If you currently have products in your catalogue that use the GUCCI mark or other intellectual property owned by Gucci, but do not have Gucci's express permission to do so, you must immediately remove such products from your catalog in order to avoid disruption to your account. If you fail to comply with any of our Policies, your account is subject to being disabled and taken down. Our Policies are an integral part of our community’s success and we are committed to upholding them.
