I rejoined IMVU a few weeks ago, to check whats new and to see my old friends. When I spoke to them, they updated me on the news about the community and how it all changed. So apparently now people make millions of accounts and spam everyone in our little community as "papparazo" accounts, exposing other players, their private photos, intimate photos, nudes and such. This is all going unoticed by IMVU just because they slap on a sticker on the photo or add the default avatar photo over it so it doesnt count the background photo as "AP"/for adult audiences only. Why is this acceptable and why are people allowed to make hundreds of accounts and claim them as "exposers" and ruining peoples privacy? I do not feel safe to speak to anyone, let alone join a room and get screenshot everytime I write something and get posted around on random fake accounts. How do you think this issue should be resolved and is this going to be the end of IMVU if people feel the insecurity growing within people and seeing people being more and more limited due to the fear of being "exposed". The whole purpose of this game is to meet people, but now it has become one big toxic community which I sadly, after 14 years, will be leaving if this does not get resolved ASAP.
Im sorry if I posted this on a wrong topic category but there wasnt any specific category to choose for the issues regarding our privacy and safety.
What do you think about this and how would you approach it?

that this has gone 16 days without any official response should be all the answer you need. I've been using VIP since a month after I joined (I started in January 2021), and recently cancelled it, because IMVU has consistently show it doesn't care.
the "community" on IMVU is mostly toxic because IMVU doesn't do anything actually progressive or helpful to make things better. Instead, they farm out their customer disservice department to third parties, which leads to zero empathy from the agents. I've had posts reported though nothing objectionable was on them. Did they perform any due diligence at their end? No, they smite from the report only and don't investigate until YOU complain that they did you dirty. I have a friend get a 2 week suspension because someone else was wearing AP (and EVERYTHING was covered/obscured) in a GA room. The person complaining would have had to clip through the person's hair to see anything - and yet the suspension happened without them doing anything rational, first.
VU is treating its core users more like prison inmates than customers, and that's why the numbers are so low now. Two years ago, 200k+ users on a weekend was common, and over 100k+ were typical on a good weekday. Right now, dinnertime EST, there's 42k users, and this is abnormally higher than typical.
I'd be surprised if VU survives another year, honestly. I'm in the process of saving pics I like from my album, because we're all riding the Titanic, and there's an ice floe looming ahead...
