Hi @D45h  if you're not receiving the 2-Factor Authentication code from IMVU in your verified email, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take. First, make sure the email address you're trying to use is verified within your IMVU account. If it's not, you'll need to verify it before you can receive codes. Also, check your spam or junk mail folders, as the email might have been filtered there. If the problem persists, contact IMVU support directly for further assistance.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Verify your email:

Go to your IMVU account settings.

Locate the email verification section.

If your email is not yet verified, follow the instructions provided to send a verification email to the address.

Once the verification email is received, open it and click on the link to verify your email address. We can verify our email via web browser on IMVU Next: https://www.imvu.com/next/settings/email/

2. Check your email folders:

Make sure the code email hasn't been mistakenly filtered into your spam or junk mail folders.

If it's there, move it to your main inbox to ensure you see future verification emails.

3. Resend the code:

IMVU might have a feature to resend the 2-Factor Authentication code.

Locate this feature within your account settings or during the login process.

If it's available, use it to request a new code to be sent to your email.

4. Contact IMVU support:

If you've tried all the troubleshooting steps above and still aren't receiving the code, contact IMVU support directly.

They can investigate the issue further and potentially provide assistance to resolve it.

Hello, the codes come too late, every cat doesn't fit, I don't know what to do when they come after half an hour or after 40 minutes, at the earliest after 15, but what's the point if the cat expires after 10, please advise what to do?

A frustrating day in the history of imvu and yahoo, it's been two days since I haven't been able to log in to imvu, because I haven't received a 2-factor code in my email, all notifications related to imvu haven't arrived at all in my email.. sometimes it takes 3 hours for me to get a 2-factor code, while the code expires in 10 minutes. sad :(

I made this account as a temporary solution since I am one of those yahoo users.

We can't bypass the 2FA codes to change our e mail address without first being able to log on and we cant log on unless we get our 2FA codes before those codes expire. We do get the 2FA codes but only after ½ hour to 45 min after trying to log in.

What might solve this is: If IMVU Tech Support changes how long the 2FA codes are active. ATM those codes expire after 10 minutes but we first receive them in E Mail ½ hour to 45 minuets on average. I tried to log on over 20 times and a couple of those times it took almost 1½ hours to get the 2FA code.

What comes first; the chicken or the egg?

I feel your pain. I was able to still be logged in through their website, but it was just classic where I could not log in. If you can't log into anything, then that's a bigger issue. The only other remedy I could think of is wait until they have a fix, or send in a support ticket asking them to change your email.

It's kinda hard to get into our accts IF we can't get the code to change our emails to something else this is going on the second day and can't get into my acct. I put a ticket in and it says I will hear something in 5-7 days I mean come on. Just gives us a way to by pass the code so we can change out emails to something that actually works.

Okay, here's a quick update.

I got a message in my inbox saying I need to likely create a new email address and put it in. I had been using a Yahoo email address for a long time, and even this helpful person told me that he had a Yahoo email address and it was giving him problems.

I ended up setting up a new email address on a different service, and I got the two-factor email and managed to finally log in.

Something you all might want to consider If you're using Yahoo or some other service that's causing these problems. Try Gmail, Outlook, proton mail, whatever.

Right now it's not anything on the user end.  It's on IMVU.

I put in a support ticket and they themselves said there's a problem and they're working on it...but it's day 2 now.

How do I know nothing is wrong with my email?  I'm still getting notifications that people bought items in my shop and also got the emails from support addressing my issue.

You know what IMVU needs to do?  Get on Google Authenticator so we can use 2-factor and not have to worry about emails.
