Recently, there have been three cases around me where my account has been restricted (i.e. I can no longer shop) simply because I bought an item from one of the shops.
The following are two of these cases.
∙ I had to present my passport and photo separately (at this point it has been two weeks since I sent them). In one case, I was told to send the specified amount of money to PayPal (sales@imvu.com宛).
However, while the former is still understandable, the latter seems to be an anomaly for the official.
I am inclined to believe the officials. But all in all I was worried about online fraud. I even suspect that maybe the help chatbot was the only one that led to the scam.
In the official chat. ‘Support only said they can't tell us for security reasons’ and ‘I'm also concerned that the name of the person in charge used to be given, but not anymore. (It would make sense if they said they had changed the system here).
In short, we have major concerns about this response. I would like to see an announcement in an official forum, such as a warning, about the extent to which they will or will not comply with this kind of response.
