I’m posting this publicly because I’m tired of being ignored, sent in circles, and denied what I’ve rightfully earned.
Every month, I submit my payout on the 1st, just like IMVU’s payout guidelines say. This time, I submitted it one hour too early, apparently based on Pacific Standard Time—even though nowhere in their Terms of Service or payout rules does it say that payouts must be submitted after 12:00 AM PST exactly.
Because of that one hour, they’ve refused my payment and told me I now have to wait another 8 days to request it again. This is money I rely on to live. Money I pay taxes on. And yet, IMVU can hold it hostage over a hidden technical rule they never publicly shared.
Let’s break this down:
I submitted on the 1st—just like always.
They said it was “technically” still the end of the month by their internal game clock.
They’re using California time (PST) to enforce this rule, yet support replies come from overseas and clearly have no power to fix the issue.
There is no visible warning, countdown, or notice telling creators not to submit until PST midnight.
They’ve been paid already, but are withholding my funds for an extra 8 days—and I’m not even earning interest while they sit on it.
I’ve submitted multiple tickets. I’ve explained everything. I’ve shown them proof. And all I’ve gotten back are copy-paste replies and excuses.
Let me say this clearly: If IMVU wants to be this specific about payout timing, then they need to be transparent about it. That means putting it in the Terms, displaying it in the payout form, and warning creators before a request is denied—not after.
This is not just about my money—it’s about how IMVU treats creators.
I’m going to keep posting. I’m going to keep holding them accountable. Because I’m not going to sit quietly while they hold what doesn’t belong to them.
Anyone else experiencing payout delays over this? Let’s talk. Let’s stop being silent.
