Last night I wanted to get online and just fix up some of my outfits in peace. I was on classic and I put myself on do not disturb, and then I went to the website with the new layout and made sure my "light" was turned off, because often I noticed that I could be in do not disturb on classic and yet my light will still be on showing me is online.
Yet no matter what I do, how many different areas I check, I still end up showing up as online to someone. Then I get messages from people wondering where I am, why I am offline, why they can't invite me, or why I'm not coming to hang out with them, etc. They will tell me my "light" is on.
I notice that if they look in their inbox or on their friends list, no matter what I do on classic, desktop, mobile, or even the website, I show up as online to them if I am online anywhere.
That's not cool. A person should be able to completely show themselves as offline even if they are online and everybody from strangers to friends cannot see that they are online unless they happen to go to a room or something and find them there.
This is also why I don't have the mobile app on my phone anymore. I used to use it a lot for the inbox and the feed, but it's getting so out of hand with all the changes and different little things that keep more or less advertising where I am or what I do that I just don't bother anymore.
I also notice even if I'm on my phone, and go to the website, and somehow my "light" is turned on, I cannot seem to turn it off. I flip it off, go look at the feed or something, and it's back on. The only way I can turn it off and have it stay off is if I go to that same website on my laptop and flip it off.
And as many have complained, if I turn my light off, I want it to stay off no matter what. I grow tired of when I go on one of the apps or go on something, and then I come back and find my light is turned on.
Can you guys fix all this? I know I've spoken before that if I want to be antisocial, I should be allowed to. There's many times I just want to do things like take photos or work with fits or even just shop and be in peace and not have a bevy of messages and people wondering why they can't pull me somewhere.
I get that you're working across a bunch of systems, but even just when I'm using all your new systems, I still see this problem. Do not disturb or "light off" should mean that I 100% show up as offline to everyone, and that the only way they would even know I was online is if they went into a room and saw me there, or messaged me and I happened to respond.

I agree completely.
The classic client and desktop clients allow that anonymity to appear offline when being online, but the mobile app client allows me to be seen even when "hidden" I also suspect that the webbrowser based client does some shenanigans like that as well.

2 days in a row. All I have been able to do lately because I've been busy, is just look at my inbox or look at the feed or look at my sales. I have not been really online or in a room.
Yet every day at some point in the afternoon, I noticed my light is turned back on. I don't understand if this is just a bug or is this IMVU purposely doing this as some attempt to force everyone to socialize.
I'm just going to keep pushing this matter because there's just times I want to be left alone to do whatever I want to do and not be bugged by everybody who seemingly can't live without others.

And here today, I see my "light" turned back on. I have not even been online. Just automatically turned on.
I should be able to be 100% visually offline until I decide to show myself as online.
