I can’t seem to change the room I was given for shared rooms and wish to know how to change it.

While inside the shell of the default shared room open your rooms inventory tab. Then click load on any of the rooms you own. Then the shell of the shared room will be changed to the room you chose to load.
If the chosen room already had furniture then so will the shared room.... in fact it will be a clone of that room until furniture is removed or added.
The person with whom the room is shared with can also add their own furniture or even change the room shell to a room in their inventory.
First I suggest you both have a chat before choosing which room shell to use and how you both wish to furnish it.
Once you both come to an agreement and finish furnishing the room then either of you can clone the room again using the public room editor so the copy can be used as a public room.
I know 2 who have several public rooms which were all cloned from the same shared room. They did this because their public rooms are usually filled to capacity. I am mod in 4 of those rooms.

Thank you but does it need to be the classic imvu on a non MacBook because I only have the apple version?
