I don't know what's going on with all the delays and why it's taking forever to get something through peer review, but I think what is bothersome is the lack of transparency.
What would be nice? Is that maybe perhaps we see some stats added to our submitted products that we can look at where we can see how many items are in the queue, where that item is in the order, how many people are currently doing peer review, and how many people are doing it perhaps over the last week.
I sit here every night and I'm doing peer review to do my part also just to help nudge my stuff along, and I feel like it's pointless because here I am at 11 days and I have no clue when or if my stuff is going to be reviewed.
And I know some items are put in a special cue that IMVU staff review, but then in my book there should be some kind of notification so that we know that's what's going on.
Right now I'm sitting here wondering if I'm the only person doing peer review, or if it's so very few people doing it and yet loads of people are just submitting hundreds or thousands of items. Would love to be able to just openly tell other creators that I see a thousand items in the queue, and only three people doing peer review. Tell them then to get up and do their part.
That, or maybe there needs to be a rule where you have to peer review two items for every one item you put in the shop. Meaning your item won't even go into the q until you do peer review on two items. Maybe that's also going to curb the people that just submit tons of crappy stuff believing that numbers will do better than quality.
I don't know. I just think there is something broken about what's going on right now, and I'm even telling people asking me for custom items they might be waiting a few weeks before they finally see it. This is not good. People shouldn't have to wait more than a week for something to go through the system.
