I am getting tired of continually receiving messages from IMVU (bots?) that an item in my inventory was removed because it was improperly rated or purchased in the black market. Each time the item it is named I realize that I never had or purchased that product. I am here only to create Anime inspired products and 90% of my products are rated GA. I am personally not interested in any AP products and have only derived a few (non-sexual, non-drugs, non-violence) only because the original mesh was rated AP. For example: a pair of sneaker shoes that was idiotically rated AP.
Also for some strange reason my credits balance keeps getting lower even when days pass that I on't buy nor derive any products. Is someone slowly stealing my credits?

I specifically stated that none of these products were in my inventory EVER. I have heard from other DEV that he is also being receiving these unwarranted messages and has been warned that his account can be closed. That is unfair and IMVU needs to fix this ASAP!

Hi @TrielBaenre Based on IMVU's policies and procedures, items bought legally from the shop can still be removed from your account, though it is not due to a "dark web" issue. IMVU would only remove items that violate their Terms of Service, which includes issues with intellectual property. The reference to the "dark web" may have been a misunderstanding or a reason given for another violation.
Here are the most common reasons why an item is removed and what you can do about it:
Why your item may have been removed
Copyright or trademark infringement. A product created by an independent IMVU developer might have used content illegally copied from another creator or brand. The original content owner can then file a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notice, forcing IMVU to remove the item.
Violation of Terms of Service. If the item was inappropriate or violated any of IMVU's other rules, the company is within its rights to remove it.
The item was broken or bugged. The developer or IMVU may have removed the item from the catalog because it was broken or malfunctioning.
Inappropriate re-rating. Sometimes, an item's rating is changed (e.g., from General Audience to Access Pass). If a customer who doesn't have an Access Pass purchased the item, they will be refunded for that item, and it will be removed from their inventory.
What you can do
Check your transaction history. Log in to your account on the IMVU website and review your purchase history. Make sure you have a record of the purchase for the item in question.
Contact the item's developer. If you can identify the item and its creator, you may be able to contact the developer directly. They can provide insight into whether the item was flagged, removed, or changed.
File a help ticket with IMVU support. This is the most direct way to get an official answer. You should include the exact name and Product ID (PID) number of the item(s), a description of what happened, and any relevant details.
Check your web inventory. Use the web version of your inventory to search for the product. It's possible the item was just renamed or recategorized and is still there.
Such incidents are very suspicious and warrants an investigation.
It might be a good idea to increase the security level on all accounts of every online site and service used. It might also be a good idea to increase security level of every digital device used, even smart devices that are not considered communications devices like TV or security cameras.... even a refrigerator. This because if a hacker has gained access they might also have created a backdoor to regain access should you step up security levels.
It might also be smart to contact bank and get a temporary block on all transactions over XX amount unless each individual transaction exceeding XX amount is personally approved using some password. While on the topic of passwords you might want to change all pass words on everything and even cancel all credit cards and order new ones.
