We need an option to hide our followers or at least put it to friends only, stalkers does find every way possible to get to you and looking at your followers is a way they do it.

It's a privacy issue and allowing us to hide followers and followed is a valid request.
We should also have the option to allow others to see friends list. Such a feature would be helpful to have.
I could then tell folk whom request my friendship to show me who they followed, who they allowed to follow them and most importantly who they were friends with.
I have a very high standard that my friends need meet and one of those standards is loyalty. I won't tolerate friends who cozy up to anyone who has abused me. If someone wants to be my friend then I need to trust them. It amounts to betrayal if friends are hanging out with my tormentors or folk who have bullied me. Anyone whom doesn't understands such simple logic or feigns innocence or ignorance of betrayal is not trustworthy and a security risk.
I would also ask established friends occasionally to let me check their lists, especially if I suspected disloyalty or betrayal. Refusal would increase suspicion.
