IMVU already allows messages to be set to “friends only,” but IMVU promotional and system spam still comes through.
Users should have the option to block or turn off IMVU-generated promotional and automated messages. Current settings do not fully protect inboxes from unwanted spam, which defeats the purpose of message controls.
Please add:
An opt-out for IMVU promotional/system messages
Separate controls for user messages vs. IMVU messages
This would greatly reduce inbox clutter and improve user control and privacy.

IMVU owns the keys to this site and doesn't need your approval to inform all the users about their wonderful: Deals, Discounts, Events, Offers and other news.

@DaddyWayneWhiteWolf Trust me they are desperate..I remember when they wanted to remove messages from our friends..But thankfully we united and didn't let them do that, and instead they decided to litter our inboxes with their lame spam messages with promotions..And what is worse is that we can't block them..The only solution for now is just to delete all that bs..I truly hope none of you even read them..Even if read, then just trash them away..

I understand and respect that users are not allowed to spam, and I follow those rules. However, it feels like there’s a double standard when the platform itself sends frequent promotional messages or notifications. Users come here to enjoy the community, not to be constantly marketed to.
If moderation is meant to keep the community fair, it would be great if IMVU also considered the impact of its own messaging. We want to enjoy the platform without feeling overwhelmed by constant notifications or promotions because that makes them seem desperate for a dollar. A more balanced approach would help everyone have a better experience.

@Petrazzenka.. Idk what you mean by that, but we just don’t want these stupid messages to litter our inboxes..That’s why we’re here..Looks like you’re quite okay with those s messages..As you’re not helping any bit..Those who commented here except you, are not ok with those messages..But we don’t just want to delete them, we want to BLOCK them..Not unsubscribe, but if they give us that option, we’ll take that..But NOT paid option..Ever since they made their accounts non-blockable they started littering our inboxes without asking us if we even want those messages..Maybe some want but not those who are in this thread..

If someone needs to complain about having to delete a few messages then maybe this site is too demanding for them.

My inbox also looks almost same after a week of absense..21 useless spam messages from imvu's social, vip, and offers..NO, we do NOT need these bs messages..Same is for my other 2 accounts getting those useless messages..I'm just NOT sure IMVU will do anything about this..If will do, i'll be more than happy to see it.
My inbox often looks like this, just CONJESTED with IMVU Spam messages. It would be nice to stop recieving these or have a way to opt out of recieving them
