Date/Time First Observed: 02/20/2026 at approximately 8:00 AM PST Client: IMVU Classic Client (ver 551.14)
Summary
The "Room Occupancy" filter does not apply when used in combination with a search keyword. The filter functions correctly when used alone but fails to narrow results when a keyword is entered.
Steps to Reproduce
Open IMVU Classic Client.
Navigate to the room search section.
Enter a search keyword (e.g., "roleplay").
Apply the Room Occupancy filter set to "1-3 people".
Observe the search results.
Expected Result
Search results should only display rooms that:
Match the search keyword (e.g., "roleplay"), and
Have a current occupancy of 1-3 people.
The results list should update accordingly and exclude rooms outside the selected occupancy range.
Actual Result
The Room Occupancy filter is not applied when a search keyword is present.
Rooms with zero occupants or outside the selected occupancy range continue to appear in the results.
Other filters (e.g., Language, Room Type) function correctly alongside the search keyword.
The Room Occupancy filter works as expected when no search keyword is used.
Troubleshooting Performed
Cleared client cache.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the IMVU Classic Client.
The issue persists after both steps.
Additional Notes
The issue began on 02/20/2026 at approximately 8:00 AM PST.
The feature was functioning correctly the previous day.
yupp, also broken for me. Incredibly annoying as now, it's just impossible to room search anything. The default is to not use any filters, but at that point I'd rather not use VU until it gets fixed. So annoying...

It's become a more universal problem for many of us. I use it regularly but now, nothing.

The "Room Occupancy" filter does not apply at all, in combination with other parameters or on it's own. harmless, but very annoying...
