I'm hoping this doesn't fall on deaf ears, but will at least be added to the pile. Daily on IMVU's Reddit I see poor user feedback as well, and I've heard poor feedback from people in my real life who have encountered IMVU in the wild. So the measurable amount of negative experiences I see with barely searching is staggering.
1.) Chat rooms are quiet. This is the most glaring issue of all for a chatting platform. I didn't join IMVU 14 years ago to make an avatar, design a fun room, and then do nothing else because no one comes in. And I know I have nice rooms, with good tags and descriptions, some having been in Themed Rooms years ago. There's just a much smaller user base now that actually wants to chat.
2.) User retention looks to be horrid. Many super active users I knew seemed to have quit in 2025. Not sure if there was a reason to that, but they haven't logged back on. These were creators, badgers, artists -- the ones who bring some of the most vital components to IMVU.
3.) Newer rooms do not seem to be getting pushed in the algorithm, which has always been a problem, but it seems worse. Probably a combination of the two above making it feel that way. Themed Rooms also being favored stinks. Most of them are empty, and it's hard to get rooms accepted now. Very vague list of rules for what is acceptable criteria or not. Also, no offense, but many of the current Themed Rooms are unpopular because they are very generic. Boomer clubs, I heard one person call them.
4.) You guys really stopped caring about grotesque adult themed content, and it shows every time I browse chat rooms on Classic. The part where I mentioned IMVU has been brought up in the wild in real life applies here: That's what they know it for, and find it unappealing. Also they think the avatars used in advertisements look bad, compared to my pretty average, but nicely made avatars. Harassment is off the charts too. I can find 20 guys wanting to RP adult content (not looking, they come to me) vs. a normal chat. I've made sure my profile shows I'm not into that, but still it continues. It was never this bad 5 years ago.
6.) So again, your advertising is horrible. Just want to reiterate you guys need actual users to showcase their avatars. Maybe actually do some advertising too, off site? I've not seen it in the wild in some time besides on Tik Tok.
7.) Which brings me to point 7, I think everything went down hill when mobile and NEXT became the focus. As I've stated multiple times now: It's a chat room. Chatting retains users on a chatting platform. Users spend money. Why are we letting Classic rot? Why did we run off the original users in favor of people who log on for an hour and never again? What happened to the community? I remember when even these forums switched over to what they are now, and they look just as quiet as we predicted they would be. I don't know why IMVU continues to champion poor design. Classic should have always been the main focus because it is better designed even as old as it is now. The only thing NEXT has on it is not needing to download (which the download seems pretty similar to the browser.)
I'm probably forgetting other points, but these are not uncommon sentiments around the internet. Again, other forums off site have a new post a day about how deserted IMVU is. It's a shame. I do think that yes, IMVU is aging in a world where newer users want other things to do (such as voice char and objectives), but I see the current devs doing a fantastic job making updated textures and items. It's a shame those items get little showcasing. I think there's so much that could have been or could be done to have a better user experience on IMVU, but management seems to refuse to do so.

And I can't even edit this post to fix a typo, lol. Such poor design everywhere.
