There should be a way to set rooms so that accounts have to be active for a minimum length of time to be able to enter -- I don't want to set my room to AP, AV, VIP, or friends only -- as I do want to allow guest users and whatnot, but if I leave it open, I'm spammed with bots, and blocking does nothing, they just make new accounts.
If there were a way to limit it to only people who have had an account for more than a week, month, whatever length of time, that would help ensure that only actual people were entering. I report them, but that doesn't actually solve the issue.
If we were able to mark rooms to only permit accounts that are at least a week/month/whatever old, so that they can't keep making hundreds of new ones and coming into rooms the same day they create a profile, I feel like that would be more effective, because I don't want to set my rooms to AP/AV/Friends, but reporting is time-consuming and annoying when it doesn't really do much
Blocking does nothing when they just make new accounts. Reporting probably clogs up the system, and there isn't even an option to tag the reports as "bot" specifically. Hence why I think having an option to limit entry of rooms to accounts older than X-amount of time would be better...

Some people don't want AP. I often find myself regretting upgrading...
In the span of the past hour, I have reported no less than 75 bot spams. All of them different accounts. Blocking is not the solution. I don't think setting rooms to AP is the right choice either. The current ways to manage the bots, are not appropriate... Hence why I am suggesting that there should be a new method of implementation -- account age. That way we could still allow for guest and non AP/AV users to enter, while (hopefully) disallowing bots and stalkers.
Although at this point I'm not even sure if that would help. The other day, I was in a room that was full, and a bot STILL managed to enter.

Sadly one of the only ways currently available for chatroom owners to drastically reduce how many bots can enter chatrooms is to make their chatrooms AP only.
It's probably too expensive to keep making new bots that can enter AP chatrooms; especially if chatroom owners block bots that are upgraded with AP.
Doing this will unfortunately affect regular users who haven't yet upgraded their accounts with AP.

It seems as though imvu is trying to manage the bot activity by limiting how quickly they can enter multiple rooms, but this still does not help with the many unique accounts that are being used, so I am still getting spammed by dozens of bots.
