So many times I have been gifted things that I do not actually want, perhaps an item that doesn't fit, and it makes me feel sick to my stomach that my friend has thusly wasted credits on something I can't even appreciate. That's not fair to them, to try to be generous and I cannot do anything about it. I would prefer to be able to have the option not to accept a gift, or at least to refund if it turns out that the item is glitched and unusable!

Of course this should also be applied to items that have already been gifted and accepted, not just future ones, if imvu decides to implement this feature. Being able to sell/refund old items so that I can gift the value of the spent credits back would be wonderful.
